Enjoy a circular historical walk back through time, exploring the borderland hinterland through the prism of the sacred and secular. Meet at Faughart Ancient 6th Century graveyard. Walk in the footsteps of soldiers and saints. Gain a fascinating insight into the spiritual and historical importance of this area in the 1600’s and how it impacted present day history. Highlights include the Penitential stations of St. Brigid the grave of Edward Bruce and the battle sites of the Gap O’the North during the reign of Elizabeth 1st.
